You can’t make this stuff up. On Friday night of the Cubs Convention, as a part of Ryan Dempster’s hilariously awful talk show segment, Kris Bryant took part in an interview. During the interview, he made a (factual) statement that the city of St. Louis is “boring.” Dempster tacked on to the coversation, saying that he never would have signed with the Cardinals as a free agent because of how awful the city of St. Louis is.
Notice how Bryant never commented on the Cardinals organization? Apparently that doesn’t matter to players and fans of the Redbirds.
This also happens to be the second straight offseason with Yadier Molina getting irrationally upset about something a Cubs player has said, following a comment by Willson Contreras last January.
I can’t wait for him to start a tweet storm in January of 2020 after Kyle Hendricks says he prefers the color blue over red.

So let me get this straight. cubs fans are surprised that Cardinal fans are defending their city after someone talked negatively about it? Although, I guess when you compare chicago’s 561 homicides last year to St. Louis’s 186 then yeah I’d say St. Louis is boring too
