Baseball is Back (The Spring Version)

Today is a huge day for Chicago Cubs baseball. The first Spring Training game will come to us live from the radio waves and the new Marquee Network (If you are lucky enough to have access).

Today signifies a fresh start for many reasons. It’s the first game of a new era on the field. David Ross will be making the decisions instead of Joe Maddon. Ben Zobrist won’t be buttoning up that uniform. The fifth starter spot is up for grabs for the first time in several years.

It’s also a fresh start from the horrible offseason that was. From a lack of free agency moves, to tantalizing Kris Bryant and Willson Contreras trade rumors, to the mayhem that has been Marquee Network, we can forget about all of that and get to experience the players we love to root for taking the field in Arizona.

Strap it on, Cubs fans. Starting today, we will be consuming daily doses of Chicago Cubs baseball every day for the next eight months!
